Marinara

Great place, great pizza, great find.

Theo’s is a bit out of the way if you’re coming from central London, but I’d say if you’re in the area or willing to make a small commute, it’s a great place to try.

It’s a small, cozy pizzeria and you can tell it’s loved by the locals. It was packed nearly the entire time we were there, and we went a bit earlier for dinner. They don’t take reservations on Fridays/Saturdays, so there may end up being a bit of a queue, but it should move relatively quickly as the service is fast and efficient.

Margherita

They let us have our choice of available tables, which is always nice. On each table there are chili flakes as well as a chili oil sauce that is so delicious. I should’ve asked exactly what it was because I haven’t seen that type before. Hopefully next time.

What I love about this place is that they are a real Neapolitan pizzeria and they know what they are doing. Pizzas are great, they use proper ingredients, and make them the right way.

Theo's (2)We ordered the marinara and the margherita. Originally, the margherita came way too charred (the entire bottom was black), but when we pointed this out to the server, he spoke with the kitchen and they made a new one very quickly. Both pizzas were delicious. The marinara came with whole garlic cloves instead of chopped, which was interesting. The margherita had ample cheese, and good quality at that. The crust was delicious and the flavors all meshed really well.

The servers are friendly, the scene is nice and relaxed, the food is delicious, the prices are right, so I highly recommend giving this place a try.
