A nice, spacious gastro pub, with good people and good food. We went for brunch on a weekend and the place was pretty quiet. There are two floors of seating and we choose the ground floor, which seemed more casual. It’s an upscale pub setting, with a comfortable, laid-back, yet sophisticated vibe.
Service was great, our waiter was friendly, pleasant, and accommodating. On weekends, their brunch menu is served from 9 am until 4 pm (yay for all day brunch!). While they have an omelette on their menu, I requested a completely different variation of it and they immediately agreed. Love the flexibility.
Egg-white omelette with tomato, spinach, and green tomato chutney on the side. This was actually one of the best egg-white omelettes I’ve eaten. The flavor, the consistency, the texture, everything was so tasty.
Vanilla pancakes, poached pear and maple yogurt – delicious pancakes, the poached pear was a great addition, and the maple yogurt was so unique. Though the dish also came with maple syrup (requested on the side), it was completely unnecessary to use as the maple yogurt added the perfect flavor and enough extra sweetness to the dish. The pancakes were soft with great flavor and texture.
Portions are small, but the food is really good. I’d highly recommend dropping by.
