Tenshi is a great, casual neighborhood place for sushi and Japanese hot meals. It’s two floors and both are nice. I particularly like the tables by the window in the front entrance area. The servers are very friendly and the place is always packed. They take reservations everyday except for Friday and Saturday nights during which time a queue of 5-20 minutes can form. They do try to be as efficient in seating people as possible.
Vegetable yaki soba – These are some of the better ones in London. They come with an assortment of vegetables and the portion size is good. Not too oily and nice flavor.
Kappa maki rolls – fresh, shredded cucumbers instead of chunks, which is always a good sign, nice crunchy sesame seeds inside, and pretty good quality sushi rice, though perhaps a bit too sweet.
Prices are great, food is good, atmosphere is pleasant, and I have no complaints about the place. I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, casual place to grab some good Japanese food.
