Located just near the cross section of Brick Lane and Hanbury Street, Nude Espresso is a great place to pop into for a bit of warmth, good coffee, and a quick bite. And a huge bonus? The street around it always smells so intoxicatingly good if you like the smell of rich, dark, thick coffee because there is a second, smaller Nude located directly across the street from at which their coffee is actually roasted. The roasting smells incredible, though if you don’t like that smell, you probably should avoid this.
The main cafe serves all kinds of coffees and hot beverages, has a good amount of seating, and even serves hot breakfast foods like oatmeal, eggs, avocado toast, etc. There are always a number of home-made pastries/desserts available at the counter as well. The Nude coffee roaster across the street also offers the full line of beverages and pastries, but not hot foods, and has seating that is better suited for shorter stays (stools instead of chairs with backs and no table service).
The quality of the coffee is so good. Really. It’s dark, thick, rich. The espresso-based drinks are prepared really well, pulled thick, and are foamy. I love the fact that they roast their own coffee (as of about a year ago) and that everything is home-made. Give this place a try.
