Matsuri is a nice hibachi restaurant which also serves a variety of other classic Japanese foods like sushi and noodles. We went for the non-hibachi and per our request, we chose not to sit in the hibachi area. Instead, we sat at the more casual sushi bar in a separate room.
The sushi bar seats about 12 people or so and is a very cozy environment. On the up side, you can watch the sushi chefs at work, which is fun. On the down side, you’re very close to your neighbors and essentially watch them eat, particularly if you are sitting on the side of the sushi bar.
Nonetheless, the service is fantastic and all the ingredients are quite fresh. We ordered the fried noodles with vegetables and two kappa maki rolls. The noodles were particularly good, though quite a small portion.
While we can’t vouch for their main offerings, this place is definitely worth trying as the quality and service are certainly up to snuff.
