Small bakery/cafe located on a quiet side street in Holborn. It’s quite consistently busy. Everything is home-made daily. They have breakfast foods, lunch foods, pastries, cakes, and hot beverages and have both indoor and outdoor seating available.
We tried the chocolate cake and the carrot cake, both of which are single layer cakes with a layer of frosting on top. The chocolate cake was just fine and I wouldn’t get it again, though there wasn’t anything wrong with it either. And cake portions are pretty small.
The carrot cake was better – it was moist and dense with good flavor. The best looking items were the cookies – they vary, but they tend to have a milk chocolate and a snickers cookie. They looked ooey, gooey, and soft, so perhaps that’s the better bet. Nice place to tuck into for a coffee and a snack, but not quite worth seeking out.
