Made reservations for 8 pm on a Saturday night. Not sure they were entirely necessary as it was only 60% full or so, so you could probably walk in. In the front as you walk into the restaurant, they have the mangal (grill) with a display of all kinds of fresh meats and vegetables in additional to a traditional döner roasting near the window. When you past this area, you get to the dining room in the back.
The staff is super friendly and attentive.
We had the Yoğurtlu Adana (Adana Kebab with Yogurt), which is a grilled minced lamb skewer served on top of diced pide (Turkish pita bread), covered in yogurt with a few grilled tomatoes on top. The lamb was very flavorful, grilled quite well, and the dish was filing and delicious. We also ordered the shepherd’s salad (çoban salata) with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and parsley. This was a good portion, enough for two people to share for sure, and the ingredients were fresh, though there was a bit too much parsley for my taste. The meal came with fresh pita bread, which would have been really good were it not covered with too much oil.
I would recommend this place and I will be back to try other grill dishes – perhaps even a chicken one as well, which I usually don’t consider because it’s never too special, but I trust that they would grill it quite well here.
